Laughter is the Best Medicine

Hello everyone!

July at the Heartland saw our New Menu Launch Event where friends and family (and lucky blog readers!) were invited to  come and taste our delicious ling cod sliders, pork loin supper, sausage sampler with our famous beer mustard and two awesome salad selections. Our caprese and red cabbage salad are kind of awesome and healthy too! We really are turning over a new leaf. Ok, well maybe not, but we are definitely trying to offer something for those days when you aren’t in the mood for a tater tot casserole or volcano.

The Benbow Room is having some really cool events coming up. We are starting a comedy night! This is every 1st and 3rd Thursday of the month and is hosted by Dan Clayton. The first one is this Thursday August 2nd. Open Mic sign up at 8:30 show at 9:00. Proceeds from this one go to the family of a critical condition victim of the Aurora shootings who is a comedian.

Also, we are holding the afterparty of West Seattle Artwalk on August 9th at 9pm going till 2a and it’s going to be good times. Come party with your hosts MC Mr. Amaker, DJ Troy Nelson (KEXP) and two live acts, Hobosexual and The Grizzed Mighty with a special rock photography show by Lance Mercer. Do not miss this!
